By accessing or using Jurisdox (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
Description of Service
Jurisdox provides AI-powered practice automation tools for legal practitioners, including client intake management and document generation features.
The Service is designed to assist legal practitioners. It does not provide legal advice. All outputs require professional review and judgment.
Eligibility
The Service is intended for licensed legal practitioners in Australia. By using the Service, you represent that you are a licensed solicitor or barrister, or are using the Service under the supervision of one.
Account Registration
To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Promptly update any changes to your information
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Infringe any third party's intellectual property or other rights
- Upload or transmit malicious code or harmful content
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service
- Use automated means to access the Service without our permission
- Use the Service for any purpose other than practising law
Client Information
You are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from clients before entering their information into the Service. You are responsible for complying with all applicable privacy laws and professional obligations regarding client information.
Jurisdox processes client information on your behalf. We do not use client information for any purpose other than providing the Service to you.
AI-Generated Content
The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate summaries, documents, and other content. You acknowledge that:
- AI-generated content requires your professional review before use
- AI outputs may contain errors and are not legal advice
- You are responsible for verifying all AI-generated content
- You maintain professional responsibility for any documents or advice provided to clients
We design the Service with human-in-the-loop workflows, but ultimate responsibility for professional work product remains with you.
Intellectual Property
Jurisdox IP
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Jurisdox and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you upload to the Service. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process that content to provide the Service.
Feedback
If you provide feedback or suggestions about the Service, you grant us the right to use that feedback without restriction or compensation.
Third-Party Integrations
The Service may integrate with third-party services (like Clio or LEAP). Your use of third-party services is subject to their terms and conditions. We are not responsible for third-party services.
Payment Terms
Subscription Fees
The Service is provided on a subscription basis. Current pricing is available on our website. Fees are charged in advance on a monthly or annual basis.
Billing
You authorise us to charge your payment method for subscription fees. Fees are non-refundable except as expressly stated or required by law.
Price Changes
We may change subscription fees with 30 days' notice. Continued use after price changes constitutes acceptance.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
Termination
By You
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us.
By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or for any other reason with notice.
Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. We will provide an opportunity to export your data before deletion.
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JURISDOX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory on which the claim is based.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jurisdox and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting on the Service or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
General Provisions
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New South Wales, Australia.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Jurisdox regarding the Service.
